This past summer, after getting off the UP Express after a long day of travelling, my partner and I needed a ride home from Union Station. I did a quick check of the Uber and Lyft apps, but found the prices unreasonably high. That’s something a lot of Torontonians are reporting online this year — ride share apps, once super popular for offering cut-rate rides, have seen their prices shoot up, especially at peak times.
